A little about me…

I’m a passionate therapist with a unique perspective shaped by my diverse life experiences. Having lived in 13 states and three countries, and visited 21 countries across four continents, I consider myself a citizen of the world. My favorite word is "Fernweh," a German term that expresses a longing for places never visited. This resonates with my belief in the importance of exploration, both externally in the world and internally within ourselves.

My experiences have not only deepened my love for travel and adventure but has also enriched my understanding of various cultures. I believe that each journey is a story waiting to be told, much like the vibrant tattoos I adore. To me, tattoos are colorful works of art that allow for personal expression—whether it's to convey everything, anything, or even nothing at all.

With over 17 years in the social work and counseling field, and over a decade as a clinically licensed professional, I feel incredibly fortunate to do the work I was meant to do. Currently, I work full-time at a military hospital, specializing in domestic violence intervention and treatment. My private practice serves as an extension of my passion for helping others, providing a safe space for individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings.

My therapeutic philosophy centers around the idea that you are an adult who can make choices about your life. I’m here to notice patterns and guide you toward the changes you seek. Drawing on a foundation of psychodynamic and attachment theory, I utilize various evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other trauma-focused therapies.

I’m excited to accompany you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery. Together, we can navigate the paths of your life and work toward the changes you desire.
